The Research Center of Jurisprudence at Jilin University is a major research base for humanities and social sciences study approved by the Ministry of Education. It dates back to Jilin University Institute of Law, which was established in 1988.
In 2002, the discipline of jurisprudence of the research center was approved by the Ministry of Education as a national key subject. In 2003, the post doctoral research station was set up. In 2004, the center was rated as excellence in the evaluation of key research bases of humanities and social sciences conducted by the Ministry of Education. In the same year, it was determined by the Ministry of Education as one of the second batch of national “985 Project” philosophy and social sciences innovation bases; in 2007, the subject of jurisprudence was once again approved by the Ministry of Education as a national key discipline.
The Research Center of Jurisprudence is committed to growing into a center for scientific research, talent cultivation, academic communication, information exchanges and legal consulting with great influence at home and abroad.
